today, the previous few posts already seem like a distant memory.
slowly but surely the daily grind wears away the finer details of this recent past; smooths the edges, polishes the surface to give it a nice healthy sheen.
then it'll be ready for storage, to be slotted in somewhere in a repository.
or perhaps displayed proudly and yet carefully, jostling for space on an already crowded shelf.
imagine if our memories were indeed put through this immense 24-hour factory working constantly to process and refine and package little bits and pieces, to be later transferred into a central repository or to a display room, or perhaps thrown down the refuse chute.
i imagine that must be how our mind works.....
